Phishing is a type of online scam where criminals send emails masquerading as a legitimate entity and attempt to acquire sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details.

Most Common Phishing Schemes:

•W2 / Tax Related

•Requests for wires

•Payroll ACH Fraud

Remember:

1.E-mail requests for passwords, personal or patient information, financial information or cash transfers are phishing targets


2.If you don’t normally get email from the CEO,CFO or other senior leader, question any email/communication asking for protected data from them


3.No one gets in trouble for questioning e-mail requests that are uncertain or concerning


4.Question any and all requests for access credentials or personal information
